Doctor responsible for the death of a three-year-old girl at the Doctors Hospital
LAHORE: An inquiry committee on Wednesday held a doctor responsible for the death of a three-year-old girl at the Doctors Hospital, saying the girl was administered improper medicine, sources told Daily Times.
Imanae Malik died due to the doctor’s negligence when she was administered three injections of high potency anaesthesia, Aqeel Malik, father of the deceased said. However, Johar Town police Investigation In charge Muhammad Rafique told Daily Times that the hospital administration was trying to cover up their own mistakes by claiming to have terminated the doctor in question.
Rafique said the police would now adopt a different approach to apprehend the people responsible. According to a report submitted to the police by a committee of doctors investigating the girl’s death, Dr Sandeep Kumar was on duty when Imanae was brought to the hospital. The report said Kumar prescribed improper medicines to the girl, causing her death.
The report said Kumar hailed from Ghotki, Sindh, it was his first day on duty at the hospital when the incident took place. Johar Town police had registered a case against the doctor and the paramedical staff of the Doctors Hospital on November 29 following Imanae’s death, on the complaint of her father. Malik said in the complaint that he took his daughter to the hospital early on November 29 with minor finger burns, adding that the doctor on duty and his staff administered the wrong injections to the girl, who died on her way to the Children’s Hospital. According to the FIR, Imanae had suffered minor burns on her hands and after she was administered the injection by the paramedics, her condition started deteriorating and another injection was administered to her. This was followed by another injection, which left the girl crying in pain.
The nurse then alerted the doctor, who was asleep. Kumar advised the child’s parents to take Imanae to the Children’s Hospital, as they were unable to treat her further, but the girl died on way to the other hospital. Malik appealed to the chief justice of Pakistan to provide him justice and order the closure of the Doctor’s Hospital. He also appealed to the Punjab government to form a high-level committee to investigate the incident.

AIRLESS TYRES ARE COMMING
I am the first one who should by these kind of tires, because my spare tire has been flat for weeks now and I didn’t fix it yet.
For years, tires manufactures trying to create tires that don’t go flat and would be impossible to puncture. The first company to design the tire was michelin tweel, But they didn’t put it for production yet. However, a company called resilient technologies created a prototype of their honeycomb-like tires and will be ready in 2011. Here are some images:

300 : Battle of Thermopylae ( THE REAL STORY)
INTRODUCTION:
Leonidas was a king of Sparta, the 17th of the Agiad line, one of the sons of KingAnaxandridas II of Sparta, who was believed in mythology to be a descendant of Heracles, possessing much of the latter's strength and bravery. While it has been established that King Leonidas of Sparta died at the Battle of Thermopylae in August, 480 BC, very little is known about the year of his birth, or for that matter, his formative years. Paul Cartledge has narrowed the date of the birth of King Leonidas to around 540 BC.
Leonidas was one of three brothers: he had an older brother Dorieus and a younger brother Cleombrotus, who ruled as regent for a while on Leonidas' death before the regency was taken over by Pausanias, who was Cleombrotus' son. Leonidas succeeded his half-brother Cleomenes I, probably in 489 or 488 BC, and was married to Cleomenes' daughter, Gorgo. His name was raised to heroic status as a result of the events in the Battle of Thermopylae, one of the most famous battles in ancient history.
Sparta :
Sparta was a city-state in ancient Greece, situated on the River Eurotas in the southern part of thePeloponnese.
From c. 650 BC it rose to become the dominant military power in the region and as such was recognized as the overall leader of the combined Greek forces during the Greco-Persian Wars. Helots were the majority inhabitants of Sparta (over 80% of the population according to Herodotus). They were ritually humiliated and during the Crypteia they could be legally killed by Spartan citizens. Between 431 and 404 BC Sparta was the principal enemy of Athens during the Peloponnesian War. By 362 BC Sparta's role as the dominant military power in Greece was over.
Despite being a rather cruel state by most European standards, Spartan ideals have been adopted (although on a far less extreme scale) and admired throughout Europe; an admiration of Sparta is called laconophilia
health advice uk : swine flu
Swine influenza (also called swine flu, hog flu, pig flu and sometimes, the swine) is an infection by any one of several types of swine influenza virus. Swine influenza virus(SIV) is any strain of the influenza family of viruses that is endemic in pigs.[2] As of 2009, the known SIV strains include influenza C and the subtypes of influenza A known asH1N1, H1N2, H3N1, H3N2, and H2N3.
Swine influenza virus is common throughout pig populations worldwide. Transmission of the virus from pigs to humans is not common and does not always lead to human influenza, often resulting only in the production of antibodies in the blood. If transmission does cause human influenza, it is called zoonotic swine flu. People with regular exposure to pigs are at increased risk of swine flu infection. The meat of an infected animal poses no risk of infection when properly cooked.
During the mid-20th century, identification of influenza subtypes became possible, allowing accurate diagnosis of transmission to humans. Since then, only 50 such transmissions have been confirmed. These strains of swine flu rarely pass from human to human. Symptoms of zoonotic swine flu in humans are similar to those of influenza and of influenza-like illness in general, namely chills, fever, sore throat, muscle pains, severe headache, coughing, weakness and general discomfort.

GHEEBAH ( backbiting)
Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“neither backbite one another. Would one of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? You would hate it (so hate backbiting). And fear Allaah. Verily, Allaah is the One Who forgives and accepts repentance, Most Merciful” [al-Hujuraat 49:12]
It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allaah SAWS (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Do you know what gheebah (backbiting) is?” They said, “Allaah and His Messenger know best.” He said, “Saying something about your brother that he dislikes.” It was said, “What if what I say about my brother is true?” He said, “If what you say is true then you have backbitten about him, and if it is not true, then you have slandered him.”
Narrated by Muslim, 2589
The Prophet (s) once gave counsel to Abu Dharr (r) , saying: “O Abu Dharr! Beware of backbiting, for backbiting is graver than adultery (zina’).” Abu Dharr (r) said: “Why is that so, O Messenger of Allah?” He (s) replied: “That is because when a man commits adultery and then repents to God, God accepts his repentance. However, backbiting is not forgiven until forgiven by its victim.”
Al-Hurr al-`Amili, Wasai'l al-Shi`ah, vol. 8, hadith no. 18312
Prohibition of Listening to Backbiting
In the same manner as backbiting is prohibited, so also is listening to it. Indeed, as some traditions indicate, the listener is like the backbiter in all the evil aspects—so much so that his act is a grave sin carrying an obligation to seek forgiveness from the victim.
The Prophet (s) said: “The listener is one of the two backbiters.”
q Al-Fayd al-Kashani, Al-Mahajjat al-Bayda', vol. 5, p. 260
Imam al-Sadiq (‘a) narrated from the Noble Messenger (s) who is once said to have forbidden both backbiting and listening to it. Then he (s) said: “Lo, whoever does a favour to his brother by refuting his backbiting upon hearing it in a gathering, God shall save him from a thousand kinds of evils in this world and in the Hereafter. And if he does not do so despite his ability to refute it, on him shall be the burden of one who commits his backbiting seventy times.”
q Al-Hurr al-`Amili, Wasa'il al-Shi`ah, vol. 8, hadith no. 16316
Among the more subtle forms of backbiting is listening to it with amazement. Such a person expresses his amazement in order to make the backbiter more lively in his descriptions. His amazement encourages the latter in his evil act. For instance, he will say, “Strange” or “Astaghfirullah!”. Or he might say, “I didn't know that!” or “I didn't know he would do such a thing!” These expressions are meant to affirm the backbiter's statements and to encourage him to add something more. These acts are in fact the Devil's artifices. Surely, to affirm backbiting is also backbiting; as is to listen to it, or even to remain silent upon hearing it.
q al-Shahid al-Thani's Discourse as quoted in Forty Hadith by Ayatullah Khumayni.
Conclusion:
q The Prophet (s) said: "No fire is faster in consuming dry wood than gheebah in consuming a devotee's virtues." [Al-Mahajjat al-bayda', vol. 5, p. 264]

BLU RAY
Blu-ray Disc (also known as Blu-ray or BD) is an optical disc storage medium designed to supersede the standard DVD format. Its main uses are for storing high-definition video, PlayStation 3 games, and other data, with up to 25 GB per single layered, and 50 GB per dual layered disc. The disc has the same physical dimensions as standard DVDs and CDs.
The name Blu-ray Disc derives from the blue-violet laser used to read the disc. While a standard DVD uses a 650 nanometre red laser, Blu-ray uses a shorterwavelength, a 405 nm blue-violet laser, and allows for almost six times more data storage than a DVD.
During the format war over high-definition optical discs, Blu-ray competed with the HD DVD format. Toshiba, the main company supporting HD DVD, ceded in February 2008, and the format war ended;[2] in July 2009, Toshiba announced plans to put out its own Blu-ray Disc device by the end of 2009.
Blu-ray Disc was developed by the Blu-ray Disc Association, a group representing makers of consumer electronics, computer hardware, and motion pictures. As of June 2009, more than 1000 Blu-ray disc titles are available in Australia, 2500 in Japan, 1500 in the United Kingdom, and 2500 in the United States and Canada.

Mifi: Personal Wi-Fi Coming
After a flurry of interest last December, the Mifi personal Wi-Fi hotspot is about to be delivered and thankfully, it’s coming from network coverage-king Verizon.
The Mifi is a tiny, battery powered EVDO modem which sits in your pocket and turns the incoming 3G radio waves into a small Wi-Fi network, enabling you to hook up your laptop, iPod Touch or anything else with a Wi-Fi radio. This last is pretty exciting on its own as it effectively turns an iPod Touch into an iPhone without a phone.
The difference with the Mifi is that it is so tiny and, according to the New York Times’ David Pogue, ridiculously easy to use. It’ll run for 40 hours in standby, much like a cellphone, and when you hit the single switch on the side it springs (or rather, stirs) into life, firing up a little 30 foot bubble of Wi-Fi around you. Once on, the battery will give five hours of surfing but can be plugged into the power as it goes to re-juice the batteries.
Gripes aside, this looks to be an amazing device, freeing you from a specific connection for all of your internet-abled gadgets and just covering your personal space with a personal connection. I wonder if this will end up in Europe anytime soon — we have, apparently, excellent 3G coverage.

OK Magazine puts Michael Jackson’s dead body on the cover
OK Magazine is in some well deserved strife for putting Michael Jackson’s dead body on the cover.
The “last photo of Michael Jackson” exclusive is said to have cost the magazine a cool $500,000.
Jackson’s family and friends are said to be outraged by the cover, and there’s an unconfirmed report that one of Jackson’s relatives has lodged a petition in court to have the sale of the magazine stopped.
Personally I’m just stunned they paid $500,000 for a blurry picture
